Hillside Residence
Nestled in the scenic hills of Bel Air, Los Angeles, this magnificent hillside residence showcases architectural excellence and luxurious living. Designed by Plus Development Group and Dejager Design, the home features wide plank European oak flooring adding warmth and elegance to its stunning design. Our dedication to high-quality wood flooring enhances the beauty of this architectural masterpiece.
One of the standout features of this hillside abode is the use of wide plank wood floors for the interior. The choice of wood not only adds a touch of natural splendor but also establishes a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
We supplied natural grade European Oak in 450mm widths and 3-5m lengths. The oak is finished in Tern 040. These long, wide planks remain remarkably stable thanks to a 2-ply engineered construction. Natural grading embraces an abundance of handsome character typical to European Oak — allowing the presence of tasteful filled and unfilled knots and cracks. The same finish was used to make stair treads for the home.
The wide plank wood floors, carefully selected for their quality and character, contribute to the overall warmth of the home. Whether bathed in the golden glow of sunlight during the day or illuminated by strategically placed designer lighting in the evening, the floors become a canvas upon which the rest of the interior design unfolds.
At MADERA, we focus on building lasting, collaborative relationships, and our work with Plus Development Group is a perfect example. We're proud to have partnered with them on this remarkable Los Angeles residence and look forward to future collaborations.
This hillside residence, featuring over 11,000 square feet of wide plank wood floors sourced and finished in Europe, reflects our commitment to setting the highest standards in the wood flooring industry. From the sawmill to the seamless installation of floors and stairs, every detail was carefully managed to ensure uncompromising quality.
As the sun sets over the City of Angels, the Tern-finished wood floors radiate a warm glow, celebrating yet another standout project in our growing portfolio of Seamless Wood Design™
